Bio

Amy Noel (yes, like the Christmas kind) grew up in a musical family.  From a young age she was asked to sing and then later play guitar in her church group.  She tried to start a band with her brother at the age of 12, but it never worked out!  Now that she is older than her older brother, he is much of her inspiration.

Known as The “Famous” Amy Noel to bring awareness to suicide prevention, she believes trauma is what connects people, not love.  One person’s idea of love can be someone else’s idea of trauma… So, trauma connects us and therefore empathy, sympathy, and finally love can come from that.

Music is a universal language and music heals.  Her intention of her music is to help heal and uplift.

Her latest project, SHIFT, was written by herself and two other amazing musicians who now collectively go by Big Booty Joody!  Big because it’s a big deal, booty for the loot that was stolen, and Joody for the domestic violence symbolism.  SHIFT was written by and for victims and survivors of domestic violence and proceeds go to survivors, awareness, and education.

You can find that project at www.shiftmusicheals.com

She's been on stage with Charmaine Neville and Indiana Jazz Hall of Fame Bill Lancton and has sang in Las Vegas, New York, Puerto Rico, among many other places.  She played Joni Mitchell in Madison, Indiana's rendition of The Last Waltz, as well as was Janis Joplin and Grace Slick in Madison, Indiana’s 50th Woodstock Anniversary.

Playing and singing original music and favorites from Fleetwood Mac, Tracy Chapman, Janis Joplin, Men At Work, Rolling Stones, Susan Tedeschi, Aretha, Israel Kamakawiwo’ole, and more, her powerful, versatile, and soulful voice will capture your heart, get your feet movin', and just make you feel good!
